Treachery and Battle on the High Seas: Gameplay Basics InPieces of Eight, each player controlsa ship represented by coins in their hand. Each coin has aspecial effect: for example, the cannon is used to destroy other players’ coins. Theforeandcrow’s nestcoins are visible to other players. Theaftcoin is always hidden on the end closest to the player’s hand. Thecaptaincoin is hidden somewhere in the middle.
